Alicia Keys had a surprise performance yesterday (Oct. 9) in Times Square and brought out Nas and Jay Z.

A week ago, the singer announced that she'd be having a secret free concert in one of the most "important cities" in the world, so it was no surprise when she announced that it would be held in New York, which she helped further immortalize on "Empire State of Mind."

Keys has been busy prepping to release her sixth studio album, Here, which she recently announced is due out on Nov. 4. Last week, she shared her new single with A$AP Rocky, "Blended Family."

For the show, she brought out both Nas and Jay-- which was obviously much appreciated by the hometown crowd. Of course, she and Jay performed "Empire State of Mind" while Nas performed the classic "One Love."
