Allen Parish School Board Plans To Reopen

The COVID-19 pandemic and Hurricane Laura have certainly set back all efforts to get Louisiana’s children back into the classroom. Unlike many schools in Calcasieu Parish, Allen Parish Schools didn’t sustain a lot of hurricane damage. Now that electricity has been restored, the Allen School Board announced dates for the 20-21 school in the parish.

According to reports, faculty and staff will return to school Monday, Sept. 14. All students learning face-to-face and virtually will start Wednesday, Sept. 16 in the following cities:
