Japan Faces Serious Radiation Leak From Quake
All of the things happening in Japan does bring us back to the days after Katrina in New Orleans. It seemed after the storm things kept falling apart. But, just like every other time, they stood up and got through it. If anything, the Japanese are already doing that better, with no trouble, looting, and killing.
Radiation spewed Tuesday from a crippled nuclear power plant in tsunami-ravaged northeastern Japan in a dramatic escalation of the 4-day-old catastrophe that prompted the government to tell people within 19 miles (30 kilometers) to stay indoors to avoid exposure.
In a nationally televised statement, Prime Minister Naoto Kan said radiation has spread from the three reactors of the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant in one of the hardest-hit provinces in Friday's 9.0-magnitude earthquake and the ensuing tsunami.
My advise to though who want to help and donate, but also want to make sure their money really is going to Japan, use American Red Cross.
