Every once in a while, I decide to try and find the most elaborate and expensive house in Lake Charles. Typically, the winner is the house on Lakeshore Drive in Lake Charles. Now, there seems to be a new champion of most expensive house in the lake area. The big surprise is that it's located in Big Lake!

The house has been on the market for about a year according to Realtor.com, and was built in 2004. It is nestled on a 1.1 acre lot and has a total of 4,280 square feet in the main house. Note that I said main house. There are more places to sleep and enjoy on this property.

I also learned a new term while reading through the description. This property has an air conditioned pigioneer. The term was used to describe a building that pigeons were held and raised in. This home has an air conditioned one for your guests to enjoy.
